Local Boutique Hotel Renovation Complete, Including New Restaurant and Kiteboarding School
Numero Uno Beach House | Kite Puerto Rico
San Juan, Puerto Rico — June 2019 — You’ve likely stayed, relaxed, or eaten at Numero Uno Beach House or Pamela’s over the years, but have you experienced the upgraded rooms and menu since their reopening?
Puerto Rican born entrepreneur Damian Maldonado has invested millions of dollars in his purchase and renovation of San Juan’s Numero Uno Beach House (located directly on Ocean Park Beach), restaurant, and a brand new kiteboarding school named Kite Puerto Rico. These three businesses have brought jobs to the community and have already brought in significant spending to the area.
Maldonado’s vision for the businesses follows a kite, eat, sleep, and repeat! mindset. “It’s the perfect getaway to enjoy adventure and relaxation,” says Maldonado, a charismatic, family-focused, true to his roots, thinker and doer who plans to follow Richard Branson’s vision when he developed Necker Island. “We have IKO certified instructors, so travelers and locals can quickly learn the exhilarating sport of kiteboarding. Afterward, they can kick back and enjoy a fresh meal at our new restaurant, which was formerly Pamela’s. They can even stay on-site at our boutique hotel. We want our guests to enjoy all the island has to offer, so it’s important for us to have somewhere to stay that’s easily accessible to sand, surf, sunshine, and for those who need it — wind.”
The purchase and renovation began shortly after Hurricane Maria and completed in January of this year.
